Be a Social Entrepreneur – Course Orientation meetup on July 26th

Want to be a social entrepreneur? Looking for opportunities to interact and learn more about being a social entrepreneur in Hyderabad? Great Hyderabad Adventure Club (GHAC)  and Centre for Social Initiative & Management (CSIM) have come together to introduce the social entrepreneurship course for the benefit of  Social Entrepreneurs and Wannabe Social Entrepreneurs.

The Program is having its orientation meet this Saturday on the 26th of July for members who want to know more about the program. The meet is scheduled at 10 AM in the GHAC Operations Office, Hyderabad.

Certificate Course in Social Entrepreneurship
“Social entrepreneurship is about working within the current constraints, creating an operating model that will adapt and sustain, to serve the cause in any situation .”

Through this course, members can learn about the principles and criteria of social entrepreneurship to existing and potential social change agents. The course is made up of 12 classes, 48 hours session + 240 hours of real time assignments  spread over a 6 months period. The members of the program would be guided by the best in the industry including founders of Successful Enterprises, Social Enterprises and Not for Profits.

The program starts on 23rd Aug and will have classes every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9AM to 1PM. The program fee is Rs 10,000.

The objective behind the course is to :
– Provide a structured understanding of the social work space, its various stakeholders, the social work environment, the inherent challenges, the accomplishments and the social impact.
– develop Engage in social work in various capacities; as a volunteer, running an NGO, or Starting a Social Enterprise
– Provide a real context for social action – Identify, Design, Develop and ACT on any one social cause.
