The White Space Story, in an era of design!
10 years ago Ruchika AgarwalToday, well established companies and even startups across the world are waking up and acknowledging the power of good design. Startups like Square, Uber, Dropbox, Airbnb, Nest, Path all have design at the core of their business strategy. Design is the present progressive movement.
But, what is good design and why is it important? Is it just glossy buttons and classy wireframes? Or is it a bunch of scientific principles and humanÂÂÂ-machine interaction patterns? Or is it much deeper than what we can possibly fathom at this stage? Either way, it’s beside the point that, design is a tool if effectively used can simplify complexity in any context.
Think about it, when you buy an iPhone, you just don’t buy an iPhone, you buy an experience, experience so well crafted and embedded into the product, into the software which runs it and creates a delightful user experience that you almost fall in love with the product. So much so that you pay a premium to get it. Today, design has become the common language of successful products.
Now apply the same scenario to an app  When you download an app, you interact with it, you navigate through it and you try to finish a task. A well designed app connects with the user, communicates in their language, provides a delightful experience through these interactions. And this is what The White Space does. They push mobile pixels to add value to your business.
They focus on digital products and software design mostly and design to help users experience and interact with software products. They heavily focus on satisfying the needs, requirements and desires of users, while their goal is to make user interaction as simple and as efficient as possible with a keen eye on aesthetics.
Their little journey began with one client  Zippr (a mobile app, which makes addresses easy). They’ve have helped Zippr with the entire design strategy, from the app UI to all the marketing collaterals, all the little things they needed to build a strong digital brand. When the market is highly competitive, it gets harder and harder to differentiate yourself with technology alone. This is where design becomes the single most key differentiator, it helps form the right perspective in the minds of users, it can help you get funding too or can even help with press coverage. Zippr got their first round of funding recently as well, and they can’t wait to take it to the next level in terms of design.
The White Space have just taken their baby steps in mobile design. They believe in their steadfast design process to continuously add value to our clients. Right now, they have Zippr in India and a couple of Startups from the Valley (USA).
They have a very strong relationship with their clients and design to them is not just aesthetics but something which can directly impact business. They hope to continue on this design path, grow further and become one of the rare good design companies from Hyderabad, India.
Good design is good business. In this era of design, it is great to see starts up ushering in this concept as a part of their core strategy. Think of The White Space, when you think of mobile app design.
