Get inspired and Build your skills at Alexa Dev Day-Hyderabad
6 years ago Ramya SayaboniAmazon has launched Alexa Dev Days, with an aim to help developers participate in hands-on sessions where they can learn how to create voice experiences and hear the latest on UI design and industry trends. It is a great learning opportunity to progress your skills with topics ranging from designing and developing complex skills, to the latest in best practices for engaging customers.
These free, interactive events from Amazon are sponsored by Intel. The session involves on how to build innovative, complex, and engaging Alexa skills. They will provide you time for brainstorming with experts and leaders, mentoring, networking, and sharing your ideas with your peers.Advanced course level of this event will target those who likely have already know the nooks and crannies of creating for voice platforms. An Amazon trainer will guide each session, taking developers through the whole process and mechanics of building apps for Alexa with the use of skill design tool and AWS Lambda. Each session is followed by a focus on the design process, which will let developers throw ideas around and discuss with one anothe.
It will include workshops that will enable you to learn on how to create connected Alexa-enabled devices using the Alexa Voice Service, building skills for businesses, and designing multimodal Alexa skills on devices with displays.
Anyone can attend Alexa Dev Days to start building skills, but experience with coding concepts, particularly in Node.js, will be useful. If you don’t have coding experience but want to attend to learn more, check out their tutorials and code samples on GitHub as well as the Amazon Alexa Voice Design Guide, which dives into voice design concepts and practical guidelines to get you up to speed

Speakers for the event:
Sohan Maheshwar: Alexa Developer Evangelist. He  is an Alexa Evangelist at Amazon. His role involves inspiring and helping developers build incredible voice experiences using Alexa. Sohan has earlier worked as a developer evangelist for Gupshup and InMobi. In his spare time, you will find him either consuming pop culture or tossing a frisbee around.
Ankit Kala: Alexa Solutions Architect He is a Solutions Architect for Amazon Alexa. In this role, he works with developers to build voice-enabled experiences, known as Alexa skills, through conferences, social media, developer forums and training materials. When not prototyping new Alexa skill ideas or championing the needs of developers, he enjoys watching football.
