Pranay Garg, Founder & MD of Healthkon passionately said, “Healthkon is a ‘Patient – centred telehealth solution using Traditional Complimentary & Alternative Medicine (TCAM).’ There was not a second to pause and think before he said so. Pranay has thorough clarity of what Healthkon is, due to 4-days of deep introspection while admitted in a hospital at London last year.

How did it all start?

For Pranay, this startup idea came out of an introspective monologue, miles away from home in the midst of a handicapped business trip. While he was traveling from USA to London, he experienced a heart attack on board the flight. Primary Angioplasty and a couple stents resulted thereof. While his PDA showed a different agenda, his health stats had a different agenda for him.

This life changing experience led him to initiate Healthkon, formally launched in June 2016 with an endeavour to provide a tele-health solution using traditional medicine systems. His own passion and personal qualification as a qualified Alternative Medicine practitioner added value to the strategy and structure of Healthkon.

What does Healthkon offer?

Being patient centred , Healthkon aims to offer the choice of traditional medicinal therapies that suits their health condition. India leads in the world as the nation, being the hub of non-communicable diseases. With this major statistic Pranay is optimistic that India is a land where TCAM will fill critical gaps in enhancing personal well being in the patient’s journey of chronic disease management.

Healthkon is structured to deal with people who need assistance and support in the areas of Wellness, Disease management and Rehabilitation. The startup wants to serve the inherent need of being heard when THEY want to. Healthkon is playing in a cluster of medical zone where patients can avoid side-effects thru medicinal systems that have been tried and tested over 1000s of years.. They have onboarded 100+ practitioners across different verticals like Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha,Homeopathy, (AYUSH) energy healing therapies,  Spiritual guidance and meditation, and Counseling,.

How is the platform designed?

The platform is designed to offer medical solutions that treat mind, body and soul using traditional methodologies. The needs of patients who need consultation are met via a basic 15-minute video interaction, ensuring privacy and confidentiality of the patient.

For alternate medical practitioners, the platform aims to increase the larea of influence beyond their local geography by providing access to a much wider needy audience as well as promoting them through different digital means. Their revenue model is transaction based upon each consultation.
