Stanplus- An Ambulance Network reaching the patient in 15 min
6 years ago Ramya SayaboniThousands of people die every minute because of inadequate medical resources which fail to reach the patients at the right time!!
Today in India, everything is at your doorstep in minutes, if you order food online it reaches within minutes, then if you have an emergency situation and call an ambulance vehicle why there is no guarantee that it arrives on time??? Every hospital today has upgraded with technology and other systems but there is no professional service found when we look at the ambulance services by the hospitals.
Yes, we do have ambulance services like “108” in emergency situations, but the major problem is the ambulance services are not reaching at an appropriate time and there is no proper guide to serve the patient.
It all started with three people Prabhadeep from India, Antoine Poirson from France and Jose Leon from Costa Rica met in France while studying at INSEAD business school. When Prabhadeep was in Brazil, his father met with a cardiac arrest and his mom doesn’t know to drive to take his father to hospital and in that emergency situation, ambulance didn’t arrive, fortunately, his father was safe but it pondered him that there are so many problems faced by people of our country regarding Healthcare. After finishing his MBA program in France he came back to India and grabbed the opportunity where Health Care in India is booming market.
Antoine Poirson came to India a few years ago and was planning to set up a power plant in Rajasthan. During the work, one of his employees was severely injured and at that time arranging an ambulance was a huge task for him. He observed that the ambulance which they obtained was not effective and took almost 3 hours to reach a hospital. So he thought that millions of Indians are facing the same problem.
This made the three co-founders to implement their idea as a result of Hyderabad based startup called Stanplus. It is India’s largest Ambulance networking platform providing the lifesaving services with uber type model.
Prabhadeep Singh co-founder and CEO of Stanplus is an MBA Alumnus from INSEAD and NMIMS. He was operations specialist and worked as a project engineer at Orano before founding Stanplus Now currently is COO for stanplus. Jose Leon is also an MBA alumnus from INSEAD and worked as Geospatial research analyst at Mc Kinsey&company and was a project manager at Yelp.
