The GAIN graduates MeitY (GoI’s) first startup accelerator program, 70+ investors express interest

The GAIN, a startup accelerator helping emerging tech startups scale globally, recently completed the ‘graduation-cum-startup showcase’ for its ‘StartupToScaleup’ cohorts, as part of the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), Government of India’s efforts to scale startups that show significant potential to grow. ‘StartupToScaleup’ is the first set of accelerator programs under the Ministry’s initiative to help startups scale up globally. The GAIN is supporting startups graduating from the ministry’s ‘Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE)’ & Center of Excellence (CoE) schemes. 

Startup showcase & investor pitch

The GAIN had 70+ investors who have confirmed their interest, including those with unicorns in their portfolio of startup investments. Overall, The GAIN had 26 startups graduating, where multi-sectoral startups participated.

The Startups looking for raise funds are as follows:

• FinTech: Hesa Global ($12m), Nearby Technologies ($11.5m), and WhatsLoan ($1m),
• Agritech: Borlaug Web Services ($6m), Piatrika Biosystems ($3m). 
• Industry 4.0: LivNsense ($3.5m), Doppelio ($1m) and Exact Space ($1m).
