TCL’s Impossible Chefs welcomes young aspiring cooks to enter the kitchen

A FUN summer camp? YES, But MORE!  After the super successful season 1 of the Impossible Chefs at The Culinary Lounge, there’s something special cooking this year too. The Culinary Lounge is now back with its ‘Impossible Chefs Season-2’, the cook and bake summer program open to 9-14-year-old children and will have 7 culinary themes – one theme each week, beginning from 15th of April steered by well-known Master Chefs and Cuisine experts. Impossible Chefs is the first exclusive kids cooking club offering focused culinary courses for kids. It is a destination for basic and advanced courses for aspiring chefs with culinary aptitude dreaming mastery of basic cooking skills under the watchful eyes of master chefs.

Impossible Chefs

Established in 2017, TCL’s vision is to provide a one-of-a-kind experience where social bonds are forged over cooking and eating. TCL is the first of its kind social culinary hub in India. They believe cooking is the greatest stressbuster and eating is the most enjoyable human bonding. The Culinary Lounge, through cooking, helps kids explore the many flavors of life and with spoons and spatulas in their hands, they will not only gear up to explore the glorious world of food but also acquire certain traits. While they learn how to cook, understand table etiquettes and increase their knowledge, they will also better themselves in areas of teamwork and leadership. TCL with the Impossible Chefs tries to shape your kids into individuals who are adventurous and fearless with their recipes and with their life. Every Impossible Chefs week starts with theme related ice-breaking sessions, introduction to cuisine specific ingredients followed by hands-on cooking experiences at TCL & in partner kitchens besides field trips to markets, 5 Star hotels, restaurants, food factories, and professional kitchens. Interaction with professional chefs, learning from the expert demo, weaving in art, design thinking, stories, music, dance, yoga and puppets are the other likable kids can study during the program. For a holistic experience, the kids are educated about the history of the cuisine/theme, culture and the social aspects of a place through story-telling and more.

Seven lands will be discovered across seven weeks of our program through ‘The Culinary Express’ which carries food from the different lands each week. The set up is done by an art director who has worked in Disneyland earlier, TCL is very excited about the Express! The curated schedule for the summer program is

  1. Mexican 15th April – 19th April
  2. Italian 22nd April – 26th April
  3. Chinese 29th April – 3rd May
  4. Dairy 6th May – 10th May
  5. Baking 13th May – 17th May
  6. Healthy Bites 20th May – 24th May

Impossible Chefs

With already a week into the program and the second schedule starting today, the Impossible Chefs creates a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience for the kids. While getting involved in hands-on cooking, kids know what’s going into their food and they tend to make healthier choices. Cooking as a medium for team bonding,  human interaction aspects like leadership and communication, optimization and futuristic thinking are some concepts that are instilled in the child through cooking at TCL.
