MovingNow-Hyderabad-based new tech platform giving hope to the future of the logistics industry.

In the major cities in  India like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi or Mumbai when people are struggling with logistics for shifting from one city to another, this Hyderabad-based startup comes up with a hasslefree service. The new startup has given hope to a lot of young techies, who frequently shift from one city to another due to relocation and face a lot of issues with the logistics, especially with the price quotation and end up with a piece of broken furniture or TV.

It all started back in the summer of 2016 when Manish Datta the co-founder of the company shifted to Hyderabad and was looking for movers, and for the first time, he realised how difficult it was to deal with an unorganized sector.  In his own words, he mentioned ‘It was the summer of 2016. I was moving to a new place in Hyderabad and needed to find a mover. For the first time, I was realizing how daunting the task was, to navigate through an unorganized trade. I had to run around, hunting for moving companies from a lengthy list in the yellow pages – without a clue about their quality of services offered. While some of these movers offered a quote after a verbal list I ranted over the phone, even fewer turned up for a physical survey of my goods. As with any unqualified choice, I ended up choosing a mover with atrocious handling. This resulted in a broken television, a terribly scratched refrigerator and a bill handed to me, significantly higher than their original quote, provided upon physical survey. It was while forking out this extra amount for their terrible service that I first decided to solve this problem myself’.So he decided to resolve this issue by himself and started researching over 1,000 instances of moving houses, across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai to come up with a viable solution, and the Movingnow.inc was born with a dedicated team of professionals aimed at solving this common problem together.

Manish mentioned that the current traction rate so far for invoicing is at 10 lacs per month and for the next financial year 2020-21 the target would be 40 lacs per month. The basic challenges are lack of working capital, therefore the company is looking for at least 3 cr funding for their second round. Most of the funds would be utilized to expand into new geographies in India. This would result in hiring additional staff and improve upon technology to correlate with the growing bandwidth.

Talking about T-angel program Manish said: “T-Angel program could see the value in our product and help us refine it further for universal acceptability”.
