Isak Fragrances – A fragrance that cannot be hidden!

Isak Fragrances is a perfume brand that was founded by Vidushi Vijayvergiya who is a co-founder and Managing Partner. She started this business in 2017 from her hometown Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and then converted this 160 Years old family business practice into a brand in 2017. Vidushi has completed her luxury and lifestyle business management studies from IIM-A. After this, she completed her Aromatherapy studies in Switzerland. The founder stated that they provide long-lasting, homemade, 100% vegan, authentic perfumes and attars, gender-fluid perfumes, bespoke services.

The average price of this perfume is more than ₹1000, its fragrance has been made according to the choice of different types of people. Isak Fragrances offers a wide range of Attar perfumes extracted from rare ingredients, using traditional Indian methods. This type of method requires about 5000 flowers for only 1ml of the perfume. The brand is currently selling products to the UK, USA, Germany, Australia as well. The sales of Isak Fragrances close to INR 3.5 Lakhs per month with the total net worth of the business was rupees 6.25 crores respectively.

Vidushi came into the Shark Tank India platform asking for INR 50 Lakhs for 8% equity in her fragrances brand, ‘Isak’.The sales pitched per month failed to impress the Sharks. However, her products impressed the sharks, they were apprehensive about scaling the fragrance brand in a competitive market. Sharks Vineeta & Ghazal were worried about the expensive price tag while Anupam was concerned about the declining attar market, thus they didn’t offer anything but Shark Peyush Bansal closed the deal for 50% equity by investing ₹50 lakhs in the company.
