Monish, the co-founder of FrenchBob is BBM graduate from Gitam Visakhapatnam and completed his MBA from Liverpool John Moores University, UK. Before founding FrenchBob, he was a part of a couple of other Hyderabad Start-ups, one of them being GetMeFood.in

Today, the team of Frenchbob consists of 9 full-timers, including NITians, MBAs from Top B-Schools – all of them being very passionate about the Business opportunity and execution focused. This startup was born when Monish and his friends first started looking for a gift, and they also got stuck at the question – WHAT TO GIFT?

“All the gift shops are equipped with gifts, but most of them were not having any utility factor nor were they appealing enough. The online gift stores were filled with cakes and flowers and most of the gifts never were available for the exact day delivery leaving us with no real solution to the problem. Some retail stores (Both offline and online) have many options but finding the perfect gift is a nightmare. That’s when they thought of solving this universal problem for people of all ages. Since their launch 2 months back, they have experienced quite a decent traction rate in their sales. Currently they are successfully serving around 200 orders/month with an average order value of Rs. 1500. Speaking about their future, all that the team had to say was that the future of Frenchbob looks quite bright as the gifting activity in the country has been growing around 150% Year-on-Year, adding to the ever increasing penetration of e-commerce and disposable income. FrenchBob aims to be the household Gifting brand for every Indian and thus are planning to expand their logistic set-up across various metros and are aiming to get 1000 orders/month by end of 2016.
