They are improving customer experience in self-driven motorbikes market by providing hassle-free doorstep delivery in a hyper local radius of best quality bikes at most economic pricing and no deposits. With the help of technology they are maximizing the utilization of their fleet of bikes.

This startup is the brainchild of an  IIT Guwahati alumni, Priyam Saraswat, who got this idea when he himself faced the inconvenience of travelling by public transport. “I was working with Schlumberger in Saudi Arabia and came for a vacation to Hyderabad and I had to meet my friends living on the opposite side of city. A taxi ride costed me Rs. 300 for a one way ride. Next day I tried to look for a bus. Although it was a cheaper option but I had to change it on three routes and the buses were highly congested and filthy.”

“This was the point when I thought of an alternate mode of commute where a customer can hire a two wheeler at a highly economic pricing.  The current unorganized and inefficient services, highly price sensitive market, long distance between commercial and housing societies and the inconvenience of public transport gives us the best advantage to bring a fully developed app managed self-driven system of transportation using bikes.” says the proud founder.

The team of Tazzobikes is a mix of five  IIT, XLRI and IMT grads –

How does the service work –

• Make a booking – Call them on 040 30883596 or you can just drop a message. Mobile App coming soon!
• Receive the bike at your doorstep – They deliver the bike at your doorstep and do not take any deposit money as well
• Ride it all along – The bike is yours temporarily! Take it for quick spin around the city or go away for a long roadtrip
• Get it picked up after your use – Once you signal the team to stop your ride, they will pick the bike from your doorstep

You can hire these bikes on rent on hourly and daily basis. The prices of renting depend on the bike and the number of hours or days you want to rent. For instance if you hire a Bajaj Avenger you will be charged Rs. 6 per km on weekdays (no other rental charges)  and Rs. 40/hour + Rs. 6/km or Rs. 250/day + Rs. 6/km on weekends.

The bike range include bikes from Avengers and Enfields to Activas and TVS Jupiters. The fuel charges are included in the pricing listed on the website, and the minimum billing amount is Rs. 50 per day.

“ Currently our model is focusing on A to A commutes where a customer can have a bike delivered and picked up from his residence. Prices start at Rs. 5/km which is fuel and insurance inclusive. Our target audience comprises of floating population to a new city, early corporate and student community all within an age group of 18-30. Our vision is to make our fleet accessible within a radius of 200 meters through a vast network of parking spaces throughout the city. We intend to create a network of keyless bikes for point to point commutes to be located through a Smartphone and used as per convenience. This network will be fully automated and highly price efficient. Safety is taken care by live tracking of the fleet and OBD scanners in high end fleet. We believe sharing economy is the key for a sustainable growth. Decreased purchasing power, increasing urban population of millennials and convenience of renting will be the key drivers that will help our model flourish.” says a very excited Priyam.

Tazzobikes is about 2 months old and since their launch they have been seeing good numbers. Till today,  they have generated revenues worth 1.8 Lakhs and have experienced a month over month growth of 60%. They have successfully completed 400 rides with an average ticket size of Rs. 450.
