Order products like clothes, footwear, accessories, electronics, groceries, food, cakes, bouquets, beauty products any almost everything else through this life savior startup app. You can also try services like booking tickets, planning surprises, organizing events, personalizing gifts, hiring handymen including plumbers, carpenters, electricians, mechanics, computer repair men, maids, cooks, etc.
This idea is the brain child of three friends – Akil Karthik, Rudra Teja and Ravi Chandra. When Rudra Teja was working with Accenture, he did not know what special to do or gift his best friend for his birthday. He found everything that was suggested to him very banal and old. Parallely, Akil faced a similar situation at his workplace where he was amazed to see at how his friend was ready to spend a huge amount of money for a simple gifting idea for his parents’ anniversary due to lack of time, ideas or options available in the market.
When these two guys met Ravi for a casual coffee they discussed how there was a genuine gap for the customers to get gifting solutions and the conversation went deeper to discuss on how there were genuine need-gaps for people in all domains and that was their eureka moment.
While Ravi was excited about being the founder of a startup which would be a one stop solution for all the customer’s needs, Rudra was keen on choosing a platform which is gen-next, easy and friendly and the future. He wanted to go all-on-chat approach, Akil was convinced that this whole idea fits in very well and the amalgamation of these three viewpoints is ‘YourGenie – Text it. Get it!’
Akil Karthik worked as an SAP BI Consultant at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Rudra Teja worked as an SAP ABAP Conslutant at Accenture while Ravi pursued his Masters in the US. After 3 years of corporate life and a love for advertising  and the passion to do something on their own lead to their first startup Radikal Tribe, an advertising agency that specialises in digital marketing, web and mobile app development and social media services. Their main idea was to empower local businesses to go online, from there on year after year they have grown rapidly and today they serve startups, established brands and businesses and some brands on a pan-India level.
