MyDentistChoice raises $150,000 in funding

MyDentistChoice, a startup that caters to the needs of dentists by supplying them high quality equipments and products announced their funding news just yesterday, on the 4th of May 2016

The 2 year old startup successfully raised US $150,000 funding in its first round from a group of US-based angel investors. The company has climbed a lot of steps already on the success ladder since its inception and today it has an eminent clientele including Apollo White, Dentys and Partha Dental besides hundreds of other dentists all over the country.

MyDentistChoice is the baby of 3 friends – Siva Prasad, Sunil Kumar and Dr Chandrashekar. Siva and Sunil are in their early 40s and Chandrashekar is in his early 30s. “There is no age to start something,” says Siva. “As long as you have an idea and work towards executing it well, that’s all you really need,” adds Sunil. Sunil and Siva are friends from their BTech days in CBIT, Hyderabad and they found their partner Chandrshekar, who is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Hyderabad, more recently. “I wanted to start a company like this for dentists but I couldn’t find the right person. But when I ran the idea through Siva, he started work on the project within 24 hours. That was the kind of passion I needed for this company,” says Chandrashekar.

MyDentistChoice is incubated at T-Hub and  caters to dentists and dental clinics spread all across India. They began the startup with the aim of catering to Indian and Asian clients with a comprehensive collection of quality, in-stock products they need for their dental services. It offers its clients a higher level of service and support that they just can’t find anywhere else in the region and its commitment to quality and satisfaction shows in everything it do and every product it sells.

In the first year of their inception they experienced turnover of close to Rs. 80 lakhs, but now with the funding they plan to expand in such a way that the turnover is no less than Rs. 6 crores. Today they cater to at least 1,000 people in India and they are getting a lot of interest from Australia and Middle-Eastern countries. It just goes to prove that if you have an idea and you see great potential in it, work so hard that the only way out is success.

A hearty congratulations to the trio for the great success of funding. The team of Startup Hyderabad wishes them good luck for all their future plans and growth.
