Nasscom Global In–house Centres Conclave 2017

Today, there are 1000+GICs in India which are generating approximately $19Billion revenue for the nation. The Global In- House centers are providing about 745 people employment in this huge nation where employment is a pondering issue. GICs operate in India across all service lines – IT services, BPO, Engineering services and software product development. BFSI, software, telecom and semi-conductor are the key industry verticals with growing concentration in aerospace, healthcare, pharma and biotech.

The rapid adoption of ‘captive centers’ by global enterprises resulted in NASSCOM introducing the term ‘Global In-house Center’ (GIC). As a GIC 3.0 moves beyond being a ‘center’, it’s time to recognize its close integration with the global enterprise.

The Nasscom GIC conclave 2016 was a big hit – Over 650 delegates from 160 GICs, 9 Deep Dive Corners, 48 mesmerizing speakers and 23 Sponsors were at the event to debate and discuss the imperatives for the Global enterprises in terms of leadership development, Devops and Business Agility, impact of RPA, AI, Big Data, Innovation Vs Execution in managing the transitional challenges of the Global enterprises and the role that GICs could play. The 8th edition of GIC Conclave is to be in Hyderabad, proffering the theme ‘GICs 3.0: Accelerating Enterprise Transformation’.
