Neo Quotient – A platform for IQ improvement

neoOn your marks…get..set..go..

In the rat race for marks and grades the essence of education is being lost. The vast syllabus, limited time and the quest for top grades may come with its share of negative impact. Schools and teachers are definitely concentrating on imparting knowledge to the students and helping students to improve their talents, but the question here is – Are the children really grasping those concepts?

This is a common problem that today’s kids are facing. Keeping this in mind, Harish Venkatesh and Nikhil Kurugant came up with this innovative startup called the Neo Quotient – a knowledge and skill improvement platform. The duo are using modern technology and techniques to disseminate knowledge and aid in skill building for the students.

Students will be quizzed and tested across innumerable topics and is then provided with feedback on his test along with the solutions. They also have an access to a vast knowledge bank that will help the students improve their skills. Students can engage in group studies and share viewpoints using the discussion forums. Game zone helps the students in playing interactive games with other students that helps in overall neural development.
Neo Quotient is a browser based application which can be accessed via your computers, laptops, tablets or even through mobiles. All one needs to do is register with Neo Quotient and access the website.

Neo Quotient also provides

Real Time Analytics: They provide real time analysis not only with the student but also with their respective parents. By doing so this firm showcases the strengths and areas of development of a child so that the parents and the child know where to invest their energies for a holistic improvement
Leader boards: One of the best ways to improve and succeed is by encouraging healthy competition not only against others but also against oneself. This platform has created a podium where students from various schools across multiple geographies compete in the same level playing platform to succeed. Thy have also created a reward system for those who lead the leader board on a monthly, quarterly and an annual basis.

Knowledge Bank: Usually when a student answers a question, whether right or not, they move on to the next question because most of the time the solution is not given and in cases where solution is given there is no scope for children to understand the logic behind a solution or gain additional information which will enable them to perform better in the subsequent tests, not only at Neo Quotient but elsewhere. At Neo Quotient they have a Knowledge Bank which contains the solutions for each question and additional resources to utilize the knowledge available for subsequent challenges.

Analysis: The analysis is prepared based on the inputs from various subject matter experts and is sent to the student. The analysis consists of a detailed report on areas of development, new skills that the student should concentrate on and the methods to acquire these skills.

Gamification: The product is gamified enabling the students to play while they learn. This helps the students spend more time, interact with the system better and in learning faster.

Neo Quotient, A platform for IQ improvement was originally a pet project of Harish and Nikhil and developed by the Inno Garage team in association with 112 subject matter experts, who helped in the development of the content for various modules.

“Presently the target audience for this platform are students who are studying in classes 6 to 10. Along with the students, parents will also have hands – on access to track the progress of their children.” says Nikhil.

When asked the team about their future plans, “We are looking forward to spread to tier-II cities in India and a couple of countries in this year. We are very keen on reaching out to remote villages that have limited access to educational resources. We are also working on associating with like-minded individuals and organisations that can help in this process.” says Harish, the CEO of the company.
