DAI, a leader in Global Development headquartered in Bethesda MD with operations in over 100 countries, and Sunera Technologies, Inc. (Suneratech), a leading Cloud technology solutions company with offices in Chicago, IL (USA) and Hyderabad India, today announced they have signed a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) agreement to launch the DAI Global Services Center (GSC) based in Hyderabad, India. The DAI GSC is a cornerstone for DAI’s strategic vision and growth plan, and will focus on leveraging Suneratech’s expertise and experience to create an innovation lab to incubate and deploy transformational development solutions around the world. The agreement also gives DAI an entry into India, the largest development market in the world, where they will create partnerships with government institutions and regional development organizations.
The agreement between DAI and Suneratech was signed during a visit to Hyderabad by James Boomgard, President and CEO of DAI. The agreement stipulates that Suneratech will build the Global Services Center, initially staff it with minimum of 50 technology experts, operate the Center for about 3 years, after which DAI will have the option to acquire the Center.
While the Center will perform some low value back-office activities, it will primarily focus on developing innovative development solutions by leveraging Suneratech’s deep expertise in Cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning talent, and state-of-the-art capabilities in IOT, digital transformation, and custom application development. In addition to developing new solutions, DAI is looking to bring 50 years of legacy data onto a digital platform where large data sets from current and past projects can be analyzed with state of the art analytics tools and methodologies.
“We are more than thrilled to sign this BOOT agreement with Suneratech to create the DAI Global Services Center,†said James Boomgard, DAI President and CEO. “DAI has always been on the leading edge of developing and deploying solutions to tackle fundamental social and economic development problems. This partnership will allow us to continue our important mission, but do so at scale!â€ÂÂ
“This partnership with DAI really gets to the heart of Suneratech’s core competency of leveraging the brightest talent to bring innovation and creativity to solve complex business challenges,†said Ravi Reddy, President and CEO of Sunera Technologies. “Now, by working with a global leader like DAI, we are bringing our expertise to the area of development, as well to the area of Environmental, Social and Corporate Government (ESG). That is very exciting for us and is certainly an evolutionary next step for Suneratech!â€ÂÂ
The signing of the BOOT agreement is an important step in the evolution of Suneratech’s global capabilities, which will now not only encompass North America and India, but globally across 100 plus countries.
