Guarented: Guaranteeing affordability and accessibility in the online furniture sale space

From starting out as a furniture rental startup to now being a furniture manufacturer & interior designing company, Guarented has come a long way from where they began. What started out as a dream of three alumni members of one of India’s premier instituitions ( IIT Kharagpur), is today a very successful company that serves people across two metro cities – Bangalore and now, Hyderabad. Guarented Rentals was founded in mid-2015 by Harshwardhan Raikwar, Abhimanyu Dikshit & Prateek Agarwal, alumni of IIT-Kharagpur and now the CEO, CTO & COO of Guarented. They were three like-minded individuals who loved the idea of building things from scratch. The trio saw gaps in the then rental ecosystem and decided to do something about it.

Guarented raised its first round of funding within a year from Kstart – the seed funding arm of Kalaari Kapitals. Guarented was also previously backed by Aneesh Reddy of Capillary Technologies. With steady investments, the company grew much further and branched into more products and services within a year and a half of its founding. As the business grew, Guarented also set up its own in-house team of carpenters, craftsmen and thus foraying into furniture manufacturing. Armed with this new feature, Guarented went on to raise pre-series A funding from Mumbai Angels Network, a leading early-stage investment platform. 

Today, Guarented is one of the top players in the furniture/appliance rental & sale space online. The company has come a very long way and has many plans for expansion. Guarented operates in two metro cities – Bangalore & Hyderabad. In Bangalore, the company offers its full range of services which includes furniture and appliances on rent, sale, manufacturing of custom furniture products based on customer’s orders, interior designing for homes & offices. In Hyderabad, the company offers all their services except renting out furniture products & appliances.
