Bharosa Centre inaugurated at Warangal

Gemini Edibles and Fats India Pvt Ltd (GEF India), the marketers and refiners of Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils as a part of their CSR initiative, have supported the setting up of “Bharosa- Support Centre for Women & Childrenâ€ÂÂ. The inauguration was done by Dr. V.Ravinder (I.P.S), Commissioner of Police, Warangal, in the presence of Sri Rajeevgandhi Hanumanthu, (IAS), Collector of Warangal along with Mr. P. Chandrashekhara Reddy Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils along with senior leaders of GEF India.
This collaboration represents the strong relationship between GEF India and the Telangana Police, who mutually strive to improve and provide outstanding service to the community. The Bharosa Centre will be managed by an all-women team comprising of 8-10 officers and 1 inspector. It will be equipped to facilitate immediate, emergency and non-emergency access to a range of services including medical, legal, psychological and counselling support under one roof to fight against any forms of violence against women both in private and public spaces.
Commissioner of Police Dr. V Ravinder said “Safety and well-being of women & children is the top most priority for the Police. The state government has been taking several steps to ensure the safety and security of women. The new ‘Bharosa Centre’managed by all women team will provide a safe approachable space for women & children in distress, is a concrete step in this direction. We urge Women, not to be silent sufferers, but to voice their issues at Bharosa Centre and help us help them. We thank Gemini Edibles & Fats India Pvt Ltd for extending their support in helping us set up this centre.â€ÂÂ
Speaking about the initiative Mr. P Chandrashekhara Reddy Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils said “At GEF India, we are always looking at ways to encourage women safety and making them self reliant. In the past, we have organized several workshops for women to make them independent. As a part of our CSR Initiative, we are happy and proud to support the Police department in setting up a ‘Bharosa Centre – For Women & Children’. The Bharosa Centre is set up as per the guidelines from the Director-General of Police to provide speedy redressal of grievances ensuring prompt justice to women & children in distress. Hope this centre will improve the safety and quality of life of women.â€ÂÂ
