- With Lightspeed Venture Partners on their side, Bhanzu’s is set to make maths a possibility to every student across the globe.
Neelakantha Bhanu Prakash, popularly known as the fastest Human-Computer in the World began his entrepreneurial journey with Bhanzu in 2020. Aiming to encourage careers in math and STEM fields, Bhanzu enables students to realize their full potential and introduces them to science, coding, and AI, through the lens of math.
Bhanzu provides experiential maths learning courses online for children from 5 – 16 years. Three students out of four, across the globe, fear math due to its numerous formulae; or the humongous amount of calculations.
Developing a math curriculum using a personalized AI-aided methodology, Bhanu started a curriculum on the platform based on an experiential teaching method.
Amidst Covid-19, Bhanu and his startup became the official maths partner of the government of Telangana in 2020. He began teaching maths to students via pre-recorded math videos that stream on the Telangana government’s TV channel (T-SAT).
Bhanzu’s Model
Aiming to build cognitive skills in children, Bhanzu’s curriculum is a sequence of concept modules. Through its online live classes, a teacher, personally trained by Bhanu, engages with the students and teaches them the subject through fun story narratives and activities. The modules are conceptualized to allow students to achieve tangible milestones and learn relevant and dynamic concepts in the STEM fields.
Targeting students in the age group of 5 – 16, Bhanzu’s course ranges between Rs 14,999 and Rs 64,999. Currently, this Hyderabad-based startup caters to over 30,000 students and parents.
