The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Global Startup Workshop 2016 (MITGSW 2016) is to be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Center, Hyderabad from March 21st to 23rd 2016. 

Catalyzer Startup Accelerator has partnered with Massachusetts Institute of Technology Global Startup Workshop (MITGSW) in hosting the world’s premier workshop dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and building entrepreneurial ecosystems globally to give Indian startups a world-class experience in entrepreneurship.

Catalyzer Startup Accelerator, Hyderabad, has been selected to host 2016 edition of the MIT Global Startup Workshop (MIT GSW) in India for the very first time through a competitive bidding process. Catalyzer is the hosting partner for the event and along with the MIT GSW team is responsible for planning and execution of the program.

Organized in partnership with the Catalyzer the MIT GSW 2016 conference expects a turnout of 450 participants, mainly students and young entrepreneurs, hailing from more than thirty different countries with various professional backgrounds: politics, finance, economy, industry and sustainable development.

During, the various activities, a strong emphasis will be placed on innovation and on the development of the global entrepreneurial network. Through the various discussions and exchanges on best practices, the event aims to identify concrete steps to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to bring together the various stakeholders to support innovation and entrepreneurs.

The workshop brings together hundreds of international attendees and features three days of panel discussions, networking, workshops and elevator pitch and business plan competitions. First launched in 1998, MIT Global Startup Workshop has attracted thousands of attendees from six continents and over 70 nations including successful entrepreneurs, policy leaders, entrepreneurial supporters, and aspiring student entrepreneurs and features three days of discussion, sharing of best practices for building a global entrepreneurial ecosystem, and organized networking.

Attendees at MIT Global Startup Workshop benefit through working with the best and brightest minds to collaborate, network and build connections. Unparalleled access to mentors from across the world is another highlight of the event. Mentors at MITGSW 2016 bring expertise, insight and inspiration and a vast network to the event. With a ratio 1 mentor for every 10 attendees MITGSW 2016 provides hands on training to startups attending the event. The event also provides an opportunity for startups to participate in International competitions and win accolades and awards with thousands of dollars in cash prizes for Global Business Plan Competition and Global Elevator Pitch Competition.

Participation is through a selection process and the deadline for applying to participate is March 7.
