Telangana’s T-Hub may have an outpost in Silicon Valley soon
8 years ago Shalini BIsn’t this such a great news to hear?
The T-hub has already been creating a huge buzz in the city by acting as a protecting umbrella for all those new comers who wish to test the waters of entrepreneurship.
In the beginning of the month, Telangana state’s IT minister K T Rama Rao was on an official tour to North America along with few other senior officials from the party. It was during that time that the team got a chance to meet some investors and IT professionals in America who gave a heads up of this extension of T-Hub outside our city.
“We are going to set up T-Hub outpost (extension center) in Silicon Valley. We need support and cooperation from TIE (a Global network of entrepreneurs) and investors from Silicon Valley,” the minister said.
The T- hub is Telangana Government’s unique public/private partnership with 3 of India’s premier academic institutes (IIIT-H, ISB & NALSAR) and key private sector leaders. It stands at the intersection of the start-up, academic, corporate, research and government sectors.
The extension of T-Hub is going to come in the Silicon Valley of California, US. When KTR announced this plan, the Non – resident Indians from Telangana instantly came forward to extend their aid in helping the state identify the right funding and startups.
The main aim of the minister’s tour was to attract more investments and wanted to make use of the NRIs’ services in a more effective way.  KTR also said that besides his attempts for improvements in IT, the state also focusing more on Make in Telangana by coming up with investor friendly policies.
This indeed is a great turnaround and if the T-Hub outposts in Silicon Valley, it is definitely going to be a great booster for the city startups as well as the startups operating in California.
