FailFest 3.0: Celebrating Failure

It is said that failure is the stepping stone to success. When failure plays such an important role in our lives, why not celebrate one? You can’t succeed every single time. You are bound to screw up on some occasions. But at the end it’s these failures that help you learn. Isn’t it? These mistakes enable us to think, be creative and do the innovative.

It is with this spirit and intention that the organizers of FailFest have set out to explore this grey zone; by honoring the indomitable souls who rose from the trenches of failure by reflecting and learning from it. At the FailFest, everybody celebrates these lessons from failure and hope to inspire stories of success. The team of this one of the kind event plan to invite people from all walks of life, from book authors and actors to techies and entrepreneurs. Anybody, who has a compelling story can come and share it at the FailFest.

The first ever Failfest event happened in 2013, and since then there was no looking back. The reaction of people from the startup ecosystem was extraordinary and 2017 marks the 3rd edition of this event.

What is the event all about?

FailFest is an initiative to change the conversation around Failure. It is a fun and engaging forum to celebrate and honor stories of valor, resilience and success & learnings from failure. It is a not-for-profit platform for learning, through experiences. Daring speakers come and share their extraordinary experiences (learnings) with a compelling storyline at the event. If we have to term it into phrases, the event is all about –

  • Victory over Vulnerability
  • An act of bravado
  • Following your heart; your passion
  • Persistence in times of adversity
  • An opportunity to find fellow journeymen
  • Learning. Reflection. Introspection
  • Gaining Insight and Hindsight; developing Foresight

The speakers’ lineup includes 7 daring individuals from varied backgrounds, ranging from Journalism and Entrepreneurship to Music and Stand-up Comedy. Speakers include indomitable souls from all walks of life- from book authors and actors to techies and entrepreneurs who shared moving stories of their rise, from the trenches of failure.
