Hitwicket secures $3Mn in funding from Prime Venture Partners

Earlier this week, a Hyderabad-based esports startup Hitwicket secured $3Mn from Prime Venture Partners in funding. Announcing this at the India Game Developers Conference (IGDC), the startup aims to utilize the funds to scale up its operations. These funds will go towards adding more features to enhance the multiplayer gameplay. Further, during the IGDC meet, they announced the launch of ‘Hitwicket Superstars’. This latest product allows gamers to go beyond just playing the game and don the hats of team managers.

Hitwicket aims to become the first mobile esports IP in India. Additionally, the startup intends to foray into blockchain gaming and build NFTs. The company’s user data clocks over 30% of it outside India with 1.3Mn minutes of gameplay every day. On average, a user session lasts approximately 45 minutes. This showcases the interest of consumers in this game and the gaming experience provided by Hitwicket elevates their time spent on such a product.
Strategy-driven gaming company, Hitwicket is a multiplayer cricket gaming application that allows users to strategize; build a team; auction players, and upgrade infrastructure. Currently, with a user base of 3 million gamers spread across 100 countries; the startup aims to deliver a world-class cricketing experience.
