Home dialysis by the Renal Project backed by Sharks

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the whole world had fallen, due to which all the service businesses had to be closed immediately and it had a direct impact on the kidney patients as they have to undergo kidney dialysis every week to stay alive. To solve this problem, Mumbai-based startup The Renal Project was started which provides dialysis to patients. The main mission of the project is to revolutionize the availability and accessibility of dialysis therapy to the ever-increasing population of kidney patients. The founder comes from a biomedical engineer background and states that he knew this problem from the very beginning and that’s why he had made all the preparations to open a dialysis center before the start of Covid 19.
Shashank has stated that the average hemodialysis cost of his session is offered between Rs 1,700 and Rs 4,000 while the annual average cost of a patient is Rs 2 lakhs respectively. Their offer of treatment is Rs 725 and Rs 1,400. The founder has even added that the success rate of their treatment is 100%! He has even given its benefit to 150 patients in March 2021. Shashank Randev, 100X.VC has invested in this startup and they have received a total funding amount of $296.3K!
The major goal of the founder is that in the coming future, he would build 1,000 centers and provide benefits to 10,000 patients every day, and thus he was standing there in Shark Tank to demand an investment of ₹1 crore in exchange for a 3% share of his company. The Renal project in Shark Tank India has been highly appreciated by all the sharks and the Final Deal was ₹1 Crores for a 6% Equity by the Sharks Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta respectively.
