Hyderabad based Commut acquires H2O Cabs
8 years ago Shalini BHyderabad based startup, Commut, an app based minibus shuttle service for daily office commuters acquired H2O Cabs, another startup based out of Hyderabad for an undisclosed amount. Commut operates air conditioned mini buses at high frequency in popular routes at very affordable prices. The app enables you to book your ride from a specific pickup and drop point (point to point service).
Commut was founded in 2015 by Prasanth Garapati, Hemanth Jonnalagadda and Sandeep Kachavarapu, currently has 35 minibuses running on 50 routes across the city and  has served over 17,000 bookings till date with over 5000 users registered on its platform.
H2O cabs was started by Tejasri Darsi, who was also the winner at the first edition of the Built for Free campaign. Tejasri will be join the Commut team and will be handling sales and partnerships.  “Commut has a great team and mentors who are highly experienced in the transportation industry to guide us build a great business. It took no time for me to be one among the team and we hope to build a sustainable company which solves real problem of commuters in the country and also help reduce carbon footprint.†adds Tejasri.
