Gabru Di Chaap, India’s first premium soya chaap QSR chain, is on a mission to transform North India’s favorite street food into a nationwide sensation. Founded by Tarunpreet Singh and Randhir Raj Singh, this Hyderabad-based brand has redefined chaap, focusing on flavor, hygiene, and consistency, while aiming to take this North Indian delicacy beyond Delhi-NCR. With 26 outlets across four cities, Gabru Di Chaap is rapidly scaling, fueled by the ambition to become a global brand in the next five years.

Randhir Raj Singh, an IIT Roorkee graduate with an MBA from ISB, co-founded the brand with Tarunpreet Singh, combining culinary passion with business acumen. With eight years of experience in management consulting at Bain & Company and Deloitte, Randhir brought strategic expertise to their journey. What started as a small 80 sq. ft. outlet in Hyderabad in 2019 has now become a multi-location QSR chain specializing in high-quality, innovative chaap dishes. Their commitment to premium ingredients, creative flavors, and a structured expansion strategy set them apart in India’s growing vegetarian food market.

On Shark Tank India Season 4, the founders walked in with an ambitious ask—₹70 lakh for 1% equity, valuing the company at ₹70 crore. They showcased their strong growth, consistent quality, and vision to take chaap mainstream, but not all sharks were immediately convinced. Peyush Bansal appreciated the product but was initially hesitant, admitting he had never invested in a quick-service restaurant (QSR) before. However, he broke his own rule, offering ₹70 lakh for 5% equity.

As the pitch gained momentum, Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh also expressed interest, prompting the founders to request a joint offer. After deliberation, Peyush, Anupam, and Vineeta presented a revised deal of ₹1.4 crore for 6% equity, along with a 1% royalty until their investment was recovered. Seeing the advantage of having three powerhouse investors on board, the founders immediately accepted the offer, securing not just funding but strategic mentorship from some of India’s top business minds.

Gabru Di Chaap Shark Tank

With this game-changing investment, Gabru Di Chaap is now poised for rapid expansion, further solidifying its position as a leader in India’s vegetarian QSR space. The brand’s journey—from a humble Hyderabad-based outlet to a multi-city chain backed by industry leaders—is a testament to the power of innovation, persistence, and a vision to elevate traditional flavors. With Shark-backed momentum, Gabru Di Chaap is set to redefine how India enjoys its favorite street food, one outlet at a time.
