Hyderabad based Hello Curry acquires Paratha Post
9 years ago Arpita SomaHyderabad based Hello Curry, backed by SRI Capital has acquired Paratha Post, an online food ordering and delivery service for an undisclosed amount.
Paratha Post was founded in 2013 by IIM grads Mukesh Lamba and Rituraj Chaturmohta and claims to have sold over 3 lakh parathas and executed over 60,000 delivery transactions since then. Paratha Post serves over 55 types of parathas and this acquisition will add a wide range of items to Hello Currys existing menu. Hello Curry plans to expand its business to Delhi and this addition definitely helps them serve more products catering to different tastes of customers from the two states. Mukesh Lamba will join the Hello Curry team and drive Hello Curry’s expansion activities in the Delhi NCR region.
Hello Curry was started in early 2014 by Raju Bhupathy and Sandeep Penmasta and currently has 5 outlets in Hyderabad and will add 3 more soon. They have recently started 2 outlets in Bangalore. Hello Curry started out of the need that there is no quick restaurant that can serve Indian food in the market and Raju is very positive that Hello Curry will rightly fit and revolutionise the QSR (quick service restaurant) format for Indian food.
Hello Curry has raised a seed round of Rs. 3 crore in March 2014 from SRI Capital, a venture founded by Sashi Reddy . They are looking at raising another Rs.50 crore in a series- A funding in the next 2 to 3 months and the money raised will be used to expand HelloCurry’s business organically and through acquisitions .
