Hyderabad witnessed another successful Hackathon, HackMania!
10 years ago ZakiHyderabad is becoming a place for techies, innovators, enthusiasts, startups and hackers. A new state is seeing a new face of Nizam’s city. There is one or other event happening across city every weekend. We witnessed a great success of HackMania by HES at BITS Hyderabad Campus on 11th & 12th October.
An event can be successful only when there is huge enthusiastic participants and awesomely great judges and results with amazing innovative products. The event had more than 25 teams participated, 12 teams gave the demo and the winners were awarded with INR 10k cash, also top 10 teams were given hosting credits for 1 year.
The judges were Phanindra Sama(Founder of RedBus), Ramesh Loganathan(MD & VP-Products of Progress Software), Anurag(Founder of Zify), Chennapanaidu(Founder of MeraEvents), Jayaa(Founder of JotArthur)
The winning team made an app “Wi-Fi file sharer” which shares file wirelessly using Wi-Fi. The runners-up team made a system through which we can convert waste “plastic to diesel”. Plastic to Diesel.. Doesn’t this sound interesting?
HackMania is founded by Rajat Shahi a core committee member at Hyderabad Entrepreneurs Society and it is one of its kind of Hackathon as it is “Themeless Hackathon” and gives the freedom to develop any product/project.
Rajat Shahi said they have a plan of conducting HackMania 20+ colleges in coming 6-7 months as a part of Hyderabad Hackers initiative by HYSEA & CSI.
