Remember Mukesh Bansal? Yes, the same chap that founded Myntra and went on to head Flipkart’s commerce platform. He’s in the news today. For a fairly big and exciting reason. Mukesh has founded another startup CureFit. This is part of the news. The other part is that his startup raised $15 million on the day of conception! This is one of the largest seed investment rounds in the Indian Startup sector this year. The 15 million comes from, Accel Partners, IDG Ventures India, Kalaari Capital and Mukesh Bansal himself. With an investment of this tune, CureFit is valued at $50 Million.
What is CureFit? CureFit is a startup in the health and wellness vertical. “We aim to build an innovative product, which will help consumers manage their health proactively with the use of technology and data,†said Bansal in a statement released earlier. Ankit Nagaori is also one of the co-founders along with Mukesh Bansal. Nagaori was the Chief Business Officer at Flipkart, before he quit earlier this year.
I’ve yet to fully understand what the startup is all about, let’s wait and watch shall we?
CureFit is scheduled to launch in early 2017.
