OTIS Innovation Challenge

The OTIS Innovation Challenge by Otis (Vertical Transportation division of United Technologies Corporation) and T-Hub is inviting innovative, scalable and smart solutions that can be integrated with Elevators, Escalators and Travellators to improve their efficiency and utilization. United Technologies Corporation is a Fortune 50 diversified aerospace and building systems provider and is headquartered in Farmington, Connecticut, U.S.A.

Otis is committed to improving their passenger experience and is seeking innovative solutions that can seamlessly interact with other building equipment systems. The solutions should be able to use information provided by cameras, sensors, great time traffic, transit, weather data etc to improve the efficiency of Elevators, Escalators and Travellators. The solutions should  use low cost general purpose computing, sensing and connectivity hardware and should focus on passenger demand anticipation, data analytics of the passenger and smart interaction with other building equipment systems.

The startups selected through this program will get the opportunity to work with technology leaders and mentors from the United Technologies Corporation, and a funding of upto $ 10,000 to develop the proof of concept which will be showcased during the demo day. The selected startups will also have access to T-Hub’s network of mentors, investors and also industry experts.

Nano accelerator begins: 30^th and 31^st august 2018

Demo day: 11^th and 12^th October 2018
