Plastic free India with THE BAMBOO INDIA.

Bamboo India was started by Yogesh Shinde who hails from Pune, Maharashtra, India. It is an Indian startup that replaces products made from different types of plastics only through Bamboo and helps to eradicate the growth of existing plastic. Yogesh Shinde has studied Master of Computer Science and has worked in Tech Mahindra for 8 long years. The founder has left his job and started Bamboo India in 2017. They have many products which are made from bamboo-like toothbrushes, notepads with pen, speaker, combos, and many more. The average price of all these products comes to Rs 200.

Bamboo India had grown quite well since 2017 and according to Yogesh more than 92k customers have been associated with this company so far 2 lakhs kg of plastic pollution has been stopped in Bamboo India! They have received orders for 93201 through their website so far and also farmers are directly associated with this startup respectively. The average valuation of Bamboo India is ₹20 Crores.

Yogesh pitched his idea in Shark Tank for an investment of ₹80 Lakhs for a 4% Equity. Ashneer Grover and  Anupam Mittal have come forward together and finalized the deal for ₹50 Lakhs for 3.5% Equity and ₹30 Lakh Debt, Contributing for the mission ” Plastic-free India” !
