PurpleTalk Wins the Startup Cricket League
8 years ago Shalini BOn Saturday, the 5th of December, startup founders and investors in Hyderabad chose a different kind of pitch to meet at – the cricket pitch. They ditched their decks and proposals and bonded over bats and wickets at the Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium .
The Startup Cricket League was a first of its kind sporting event for startups in the country. The event witnessed participation from 16 startup teams, investors and other prominent personalities like IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Ramana Gogula, Meghana Gundlapally, a rhythmic gymnast from India  and several others.

TinMen, Aasan Pay, My Dream Store, Zippr, PurpleTalk along with 10 other startup teams battled at the league.
PurpleTalk , captained by Mahesh Korada were the winners of the Startup Cricket League. Mahesh also scored the maximum runs (140+) in the series. The super excited captains says that it was a matter of immense joy for him and his team to be a part of an uber fun event like the Startup Cricket League. He further adds,  “I would like to congratulate all my teammates and appreciate them for putting up a great show. Apart from the games, the event was also a welcome opportunity to acquaint ourselves with other startups on the block. Informative discussions, exchange of knowledge and an air of sporting spirit prevailed, making the occasion truly remarkable. I would like to thank the organizers for the opportunity and their hard work in putting the event together. We hope to participate, and make our mark in more such events in future.”
