Resonico- Make the world dance to your tunes!

Ever felt the need of loud music with no speakers around? Ever wanted to party without disturbing others? Ever shared headphones with a friend / partner? Indeed a pretty common sight whenever friends are together.

With small speakers in the form of smartphones in everyone’s pockets these days, seemingly it shouldn’t be so difficult to enjoy music together. Alas, there wasn’t a way around, util recently! Faced with similar issues everyday, a bunch of creative minds started exploring a solution to the problem. They thought something should exist already and explored bluetooth, Airplay, Miracast and other technologies at first. However each had its own limitations like not being able to support multiple devices or being too expensive. And above these, all had one major underlying problem, real time synchronization. They wanted to have a perfectly synchronized music sharing experience. And for the sensitive human ears, even being off by a tenth of a second would not be acceptable.

Thus, they resolved to develop the technology and the application that would make this happen. This was how Resonico was born. After developing their own protocols and API to share, stream and synchronize in real time over wifi, the app is now available on the Apple App store and can be downloaded for free.

Resonico lets anyone stream their own music with any number of people around, without the need of any internet connection. People in close proximity can view the LIVE streaming and join in to from exactly that point just with a touch of a button. This is a one step process to get any number of phones to function like speakers or a surround sound system playing your favourite music in sync! Get the music louder by letting more number of people to join your stream. You could also just groove with your peers in silence keeping the music limited only to your headphones. From Trekking and traveling to beaching and working at the office, Resonico is your answer!

There have been a few attempts, similar in concept, with apps such Seedio, Speakerfy and Samsung Group play. Resonico scores over these on:

• cloud support (smart auto downloading of songs to save data usage costs)

Also, an Android version is under development and is expected to release soon, with plans to develop versions for Windows, MacOSX, Linux and embedded devices. Also, support for online streaming services like Spotify, and more cloud providers like GoogleDrive, Box are being planned. Apart from the app, wireless dongles for speakers and wireless headphones are next in line!

As Wayocom Labs, they aim to evolve Resonico into a generic API that can be used for any media (videos, documents, games) to be streamed and shared in a synchronized manner. The API will enable third party apps to harness the real power of peer­2­peer technology.
