Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. —The Dalai Lama

So easily we drown in the dogma of what we don’t have, what didn’t work, what should not have happend to us and why we cannot do certain things. We seldom realise what we have, we dwell on the negatives in a sub-conscious assumption that those fears and worries will drive us to perform better in this world. That is not true. Its very easy to undermine, limit and underestimate ourselves.

90% of all people self-doubt themselves at all times of their life.

What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality. —Plutarch

Life is tough, highly competitive and only those will survive who is adaptable to change. There is very little time in this life, its passing by you right at this moment. It is very important you make the best out of every hour, every day!

Here are 9 signs that tell you, you are doing better than you think. May be its time to revive on the positives than on the negatives and take a fresh perspective at life, gather all your courage to move on.

You Help People. No matter how successful you are, or what greats you have achieved; it does not matter anything if you do not help other people. Your success is directly proportional to how many people you help. If you help others, cheer them, motivate them appreciate them, then you are more successful than the most. All great people are more about others than about themselves. When you help others grow, you grow. Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.

You Are Building Trust and Network. All things being equal – people will do business with and refer business to those people they know, like and trust. You are making more friends, building relationships, informidable trust and learning all the positives from all you meet, then you are getting closer to being successful. Plus you are also building your own character which will be a culmination of everybody’s positives you have admired. Like the saying goes, you are the average of the 5 people you speak to the most. Go on look into your cell phone contacts list and find out those people who are your immediate 5 people who you talk to the most. Then the next 5 people who rank the second and then pull out records of your whatsapp and dig into the interactions you have had from peers who were interested in things you have said or reacted. Is the number growing? You are heading in the right direction

You Care For Your Health. This sounds intangible and a cliche, however, health is extremely important and one of the greatest things that you possess, is in your control and honing it well can win you the riches. You got one life, one body, to bring the best of productive time, your body has to be tuned in to be giving you the right backing performance. Age doesn’t matter, as long as you mind for your health.

You Don’t Give Way For Your Fears. Most people are escapists, they try to escape from their problems and fears. Too much pressure at work, go out for a party on the weekend instead of actually solving the pressure problem. If you face your fear, take it as a problem solving challenge, you come out stronger than you are. Like the saying goes, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger”, you never run out of taking on what bothers you as a fear, worry or an anxiety and try to apply the frameworks, processes, habits to solve them.

You Keep Trying. This can be very hard. I once had to quit my own startup and almost thought my career was over. It was very hard to stay on the same path of my journey and find another destination, I narrowly managed to come out alive today. Especially when all the odds are against you and you have fallen completely down to the ground your gut tells you to push back hard and come back strong, you are heading in the right direction.

You Don’t Value a Mental Model. This means you have the right open mindset. Our mind is like a computer, we all agree. There is an input and an output, just like a computer. What you feed in as information or ‘thoughts’, is what you get out as actions. Our life is made up of thoughts, we are what we have told our mind about us. And if you want to accomplish you need to feed in the right thoughts. Because thoughts become actions, and actions deliver results. Positive thoughts means a positive destiny.

You Validate What You Believe. There is no ego, only the right temperament. All your faith about what you think is right to solve a problem is based out of the right information available from multiple neutral sources and are tangible (measurable). This data helped you validate, doublecheck on your faiths based on which you have taken your decision. For example if your product is an app, instead of you living in assumptions about how great it is, you actually go out running a business canvas from actual users to find out if they believe what you believe. Then you are on the right track.

You Learn From Your Mistakes. You convert your current struggles and mistakes into valuable lessons then you are walking the path of glory. For instance, a guy failed in an exam. He finds out he failed because he did not study good enough, hard enough and smart enough. He then goes about fixing each item and learns form the mistake to pass that exam in flying colours next time.

You Continuously Learn to Self Improve. If you are still learning, still developing, still listening, still practicing new things, then congratulations! Self improvement is the best improvement. You are not just adding value to yourself but also to all people around you.

The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be. —Ralph Waldo Emerson

So go about becoming successful and go about changing the world, making it a better place to be! All the best.
