Villgro in partnership with Headstart brings you an Un-convention|Speaker Series workshop on ‘Introduction to Business Model Canvas for Social Enterprises’ by Prof. Ramesh Loganathan.

About the Session

Social entrepreneurs – and the organizations they launch – apply fresh, often risk-taking approaches to create innovative, scalable solutions to address problems where conventional practices simply aren’t sufficient. Through this session we explore how to customize a business model canvas for a social enterprise. We will be using the template as a tool to visualize and build the global vision of an organization while accounting for impact.

A business model canvas serves many purposes, it provides a complete overview on what an enterprise has set out to do and how to do it, it is also useful in working out a new value proposition or pivoting from an existing idea.

Mr.Ramesh Loganathan Professor Co-Innovation and Research/Innovation outreach Head, IIIT-Hyderabad and Innovation ecosystem champion Ramesh is active in the Hyderabad startup ecosystem – driving early stage startup events for TiE-Hyderabad and President of HYSEA. He helps organise monthly Startup Saturdays – a networking platform for budding technology entrepreneurs. He is also part of a think tank group – Hyderabad4Innovation, comprised of 14 key leaders in industry and tech education in Hyderabad who are looking at ways to nurture and grow tech innovation in the city. Ramesh heads the Research/Innovation outreach at IIIT Hyderabad as Professor Co-Innovation. He also helped start and grow the Technology Transfer Office, Co-Innovation (corp) labs, Entrepreneur In Residence program and the Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. He has been adjunct faculty (middleware systems) at IIIT-H since 2002, visiting faculty at IIT Hyderabad (Innovation) and member of governing board of incubators at IIIT-H, IIT and BITS.
