Hyderabad-based sports-tech startup Gamepoint has raised Rs 7 crore in a pre-Series A funding round as it doubles down on its vision of making quality sports infrastructure and coaching easily accessible to everyone.

The round was co-led by Zaggle founder Raj P Narayanam and Aditya Vuchi, with participation from Praveen Raju and other investors.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to expand its multi-sport centre network and strengthen its technology and operational capabilities.

Bringing Sports Closer To Where People Live

Co-founded by Aditya and Siddharth Reddy, Gamepoint is focused on solving a simple but widespread problem:
most people want to play sports, but don’t have convenient access to quality courts, coaches or safe spaces near their homes.

Gamepoint’s answer is a “neighbourhood sports centre” model – professionally managed, multi-sport facilities located in residential catchments, built for people of all age groups.

At its centres, Gamepoint offers:

  • Structured coaching programmes for children
  • Flexible membership and pay-and-play options for adults
  • End-to-end sports event management for corporates and communities

All of this is delivered in a safe, hygienic and professionally run environment, a key differentiator in an otherwise fragmented local sports infrastructure market.

Technology-Enabled Sports Experience

Gamepoint describes itself as a technology-enabled sports startup, not just a chain of courts.

Its platform and systems aim to:

  • Simplify discovering and booking nearby sports centres
  • Manage coaching batches, memberships and slots
  • Power events and tournaments with better scheduling and coordination
  • Standardise the experience across multiple locations

This combination of tech + on-ground operations helps the startup run multi-sport centres more efficiently while keeping the user experience consistent as it scales.

Multi-Sport Centres Across Hyderabad & Warangal

Gamepoint currently operates a chain of multi-sport centres across Hyderabad and Warangal.

Its facilities feature:

  • International standard courts and fields
  • Specialised coaching programmes for different age groups and skill levels
  • Membership plans tailored to regular players
  • On-site sports stores for basic equipment and accessories

The centres support a wide range of sports, including:

  • Badminton
  • Basketball
  • Pickleball
  • Squash
  • Football
  • Cricket
  • Table Tennis
  • Swimming

Gamepoint operates through a mix of owned and potentially franchised centres, allowing it to scale faster while maintaining operational standards.

Ambitious Growth Plans: 300 Centres, 1 Crore People

The startup has set itself an ambitious goal for the next five years.

Over this period, Gamepoint plans to:

  • Scale to more than 300 centres
  • Expand beyond Hyderabad and Warangal to metros as well as Tier I and Tier II cities
  • Enable 1 crore people to play sports in India

So far, the company claims to have:

  • Trained over 12,000 students
  • Enabled more than 3 lakh people to play sports
  • Organised more than 700 sports events

These numbers reflect both its grassroots reach and its focus on repeat, community-centered engagement.

Competing In A Growing Sports-Tech Market

Gamepoint operates in a fast-evolving sports infrastructure and coaching landscape, where other players include:

  • Premier Badminton Coaching Academy
  • Machaxi
  • KheloMore
  • Huddl
  • And several regional academies and centres

However, Gamepoint’s differentiated bet is on:

  • The neighbourhood, multi-sport centre model rather than single-sport academies
  • A tech-enabled operational backbone
  • A product that caters to children, adults and corporates under one brand

As more Indians look to adopt active lifestyles, pick up new sports, and give their children better coaching, the demand for organised, accessible sports infrastructure is only expected to grow. Gamepoint wants to be the platform that rides this wave.

A Big Win For Sports & Startups From Hyderabad

Gamepoint’s fundraise underlines how sports-tech is emerging as a serious category within India’s startup ecosystem, and how Hyderabad continues to produce startups that combine physical infrastructure with strong technology layers.

With fresh capital in the bank and a clear expansion roadmap, Gamepoint is now playing for a bigger goal:
to turn sports from an occasional activity into an everyday habit for millions of Indians – starting right in their neighbourhoods.
