The birth of ListenNews

Sree Harsha Uddandam spent 7 years in US. While he had a busy professional life, he didn’t get enough time to stay on top of the daily news. On top of it, he knew that he was wasting almost one hour of his daily time in commuting to office and eventually got tired of listening to the same songs and ads on the radio. That’s when he began to tickle his creative mind and wondered how nice it would be if he could get to listen to the latest news while driving? That’s when the idea struck him and he began his research.

How does the service work?

All you have to do is download the app on your Android smartphone. Once you have it on your fingertip, the app will allow you to listen to news of your favorite topics including Business, Technology and Sports. As a user, you can choose your topic of interest and that’s it. Sit back and relax, because the app will curate the articles from the top verified news sources and get the hottest news to you.

• Listen full article shaking your device (works only with websites optimized for this task)
• Simple user interface with comfortable buttons to update and listen the news with just 1 click
• Multiple language TTS support (require voices for each language installed)
• The news the app works offline (but not the “listen full article” function)

The trio team is currently bootstrapped and the best part? They just launched a week ago and they already have a traction of 50 downloads.
