Caring Hands For Animals (CHFA) – Saving Animals in Hyderabad
10 years ago Ambica AylaWe see a lot of street dogs, cats, cows, cattle abandoned, wandering on streets and feeding at garbage dumps in the city. These animals live in unhygienic conditions which is not only a threat to their lives but can also cause spreading diseases across. Moreover, stray cattles on streets lead to accidents and reflect poorly on the city and the society. There are many organisations in the city working for animal welfare and rescuing abandoned cattles and animals. One such startup is CARING HANDS FOR ANIMALS (CHFA) located at Gachibowli, Hyderabad. CHFA is a non-profit organisation committed to the protection of animals & birds and strives to build a harmonious relationship among humans, non-humans and the environment.
The Hyderabad-based start-up was initiated in 2008 with a small, informal group of passionate animal lovers from different walks of life. Over the years the group got good outreach and led to the formal registration of the NGO in 2011. The CHFA conducts activities focussed on promoting animal rights, spreading public awareness on the abuse and killing of animals as well as on rescuing injured and abandoned animals.
Planning to get a pet dog for your family? CHFA helps you adopt abandoned pups and dogs from its shelter and so far, has provided homes to more than 180 dogs.
