Global Pioneers Event – a platform where entrepreneurs find profound connections

Well, all of us have been reading lot of news and posts about innovative startups being funded by investors and venture capitalists. As part of the funding story, we often get to hear the struggles that the founders of the endowment have faced. But, what after the startup receives the funding? Do we often get to hear about the after – scenes of the funding? Do we hear from the entrepreneurs again stating how much more easy or difficult it has become for them after they received a good amount of resources for managing their businesses?

Grabbing this unique behind the scenes concept, Octopus Group is organizing a weekend event called the Global Pioneers – a place where connections lead to partnerships in order to grow projects in a faster and sustainable way. 2015 marks the second edition of this event. It generally happens twice a year inviting entrepreneurs and startups from all over the globe, and allowing them to share experiences and connections connecting all the regional ecosystems.

12th September 2015 will be the first day of this event at Bangalore. After Bangalore, the team is all set to organize this event in Hyderabad later in the year.
What is the event about?

Pioneers during its second edition is all about celebrating the successful entrepreneurs from the city of Bangalore. Startups which have raised funding over the past few months have been invited, and the two keynotes will be about how the startups have started their journey from scratch and what all it takes to raise funding and the after effects of funding. This event also has a one hour panel discussion which includes famous investors from the ecosystem who have been part of the community and seen successful entrepreneurs in Bangalore. Focused on startups and funding 101 basics, Pioneers is a short and simple weekend event. They are also working on having an instant funding round for all the early stage startups in Bangalore from popular investors from the startup community. Along with the same, one winning startup gets a ticket to go to Pioneers Festival 2016 in Vienna.

There are going to be keynote speeches and panel discussions by pioneer investors who have been part of big investments in recent times in the startups in Bangalore and are related to Bangalore based accelerators. The where, what, how and why of funding is discussed along with Q & A from the audience.
