3 years ago Rituka MSreedhar Peddineni’s Hyderabad-based Startup GTM Buddy raises $2 Mn in a seed funding round. The funds raised will go towards enhancing product capabilities and hiring talent across various verticals.
The Story
Founded by serial entrepreneur Sreedhar Peddineni, Chandramani Tiwary, Santa Thounaojam, & Sundar Vellaichamy in 2020, GTM Buddy is a Sales-tech SaaS Startup. It helps sellers accelerate their deals and improve win rates by delivering relevant information and messages to their prospective buyers. Powered by a contextual AI engine, the platform pre-processes the sales enablement content, and auto indexes them. This content is available with the organization’s content repository and the AI surfaces the most relevant information to the prospective buyers.
The just-in-time “sales enablement” platform helps sellers accelerate deals through contextually relevant information to their prospective buyers. Guiding the sellers, the AI sifts through all content and allows the reps a positive shot with every email interaction.
Sreedhar Peddineni, Co-Founder & CEO, GTM Buddy said, “Sales is increasingly becoming a knowledge-driven function. Buyers involved in the decision-making cycle expect the seller to be an expert on various topics like domain, product, competition. GTM Buddy leverages the latest advancements in technology, design, & AI to deliver the right information to sellers at the right time. Information is contextually relevant to the buyers & available within the tools that are used by them on a daily basis.â€ÂÂ
Seed Funding Round
In a seed funding round on Sept 14th, 2021, Hyderabad-based startup GTM Buddy raised $2 Million. This round was led by early-stage investors Stellaris Venture Partners, who recently raised $225 Mn for their 2nd India-dedicated fund. Angel investors backing them include Girish Mathrubootham, Nick Mehta, Ashish Gupta, Aneesh Reddy, Khadim Batti, and Dilip Khandelwal.
The funds will go towards enhancing product capabilities and hiring talent across verticals – sales, marketing, and customer success functions.
“Despite advances in underlying technologies, current sales enablement solutions fail to meet the needs of the users. They are mostly a user interface on top of a classical folder structure, with basic search and tracking capabilities. Like many other enterprise processes, we believe that this is a space ripe for disruption. With a veteran SaaS entrepreneur like Sreedhar leading the team at GTM Buddy, we are certain that the platform will be a gamechanger in the sales enablement space.†said Alok Goyal, Partner, Stellaris Venture Partners.
Prior to Hyderabad-based startup GTM Buddy, Peddineni co-founded a SaaS platform in the financial planning & analysis (PF&A) space, Host Analytics. Vector Capital acquired Host Analytics. He also co-founded a customer success platform and unicorn, Gainsight and in 2020, Vista Equity Partners later acquired it.
