Innopreneurs 2022 Crowns Hyderabad’s Hala Mobility Winner

“Innopreneurs ’22”, a platform established by Lemon Ideas was initially aimed towards encouraging innovations and showcasing of ideas. Understanding that there is a massive gap, Lemon Ideas turned this platform into a yearly contest. Since 2014, Innopreneurs is a national-level platform that encourages individuals/ students/ professionals to showcase their ideas. Amidst this process, they can earn mentoring, funding, and network support for their ideas. Consequently, Innopreneurs has had over 1000 yearly registrations from all over India. Meanwhile, Innopreneurs 2022 saw participation from Nepal, Bhutan, Uganda, and the Maldives among others.
With over 1400 registrations, the 7th edition of the contest was a massive success and hit a homerun for Hyderabad. In the same vein, the startups present their ideas to a jury. This year’s jury comprised P Janaki Ramudu, director, IMT Nagpur, Hakimuddin Ali, executive director (Cement), Dalmia Cements Ltd, and Nitin Sachdeva, managing director, delaPlex, Nagpur. From around 500 presentations, 10 startups were shortlisted.
Hosting the finals was Mukesh Ashar, the founder of the Lemon School of Entrepreneurship. After thorough scrutiny, Srikanth Reddy Kalakonda, founder of Hala Mobility secured the first position. In addition, Romit Kalra, founder of Petrobot Technologies Pvt Ltd won first runners-up. And Soumya Dabriwal and Aradhana Rai Gupta of Project Baala secured second runners-up. Upon winning the competition, Srikanth bagged a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, 10,000$ of AWS credits, and Lemon credits.
Winning the Best Women Team category, Aviotron Aerospace founder Neha Chauhan bagged the award. On the other hand, winning the Best Team from Bharat and Circular Economy categories were Nirmesh Rajyaguru of BetaBuilds Technologies and Kunjpreet Arora of Angrius Pvt Ltd.
Thoughts on the Contest
Former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis extended his best wishes to the top 10 finalists virtually. Adding further, Deepak Menaria, founder of Lemon Ideas says; “It was an honor to go through so many startup ideas based on solving problems people in rural areas face.”
Innopreneurs CEO, Krishnkant Chaturvedi said, “Innopreneurs is not only about competition. It is about co-creation, collaboration, training, and mentoring. We believe in uplifting and supporting the startup ideas, where competing becomes only a minor part of the aspect.â€ÂÂ
Further, the next season is to commence in August 2022. Adding, Chaturvedi said Lemon Ideas aims to broaden this platform. Evolving into ‘What an Idea Contest’ and ‘Innopreneurs Junior’, the next season is set to invite registrations from entrepreneurs across various age groups. Presenting the vote of thanks was Sourav Ganguli who is the national head of Institutional Partnership at Lemon School of Entrepreneurship.
