“It was in Jan 2014, I wanted to order a cake for my husband’s birthday from his favorite cake shop ‘Vac’s Pastries’ and realized there is no way I can order a cake unless I visit the shop (No home delivery, no website). I was carrying and there was no easy way for me to get this done. I sought help from a friend and finally got what I wanted. But what happens if you don’t have that friend?” But what if someone could just order cakes online?

That need gave birth to this startup in July 2014 and since then there has been no looking back for best gift.in. Though physically present only in Hyderabad, they have successfully established their ground in Chennai, Bangalore and Coimbatore as well. Bestgift.in has tied up with various Bakers across the 4 cities is currently operating in. You can search for cakes depending on the area of delivery or from the baker of your choice. The website also provides a rating for the bakers which is like a cherry on top of the cake.

“We are taking up a monumental task of connecting the entire globe to spread the joy of gifting! A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Our first step was Hyderabad. We are now live in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore and we are working hard to bring the bestgift market place to 10 different cities by December 2015” , says the proud owner of this startup when asked about her future plans. They are also working on tie ups and introducing new categories like ordering flowers and handmade chocolates online and giving the user the adequate choice and variety to celebrate the best moments of life.
