OYO launches first in-app SOS button to make hotels in India safer. Also announces investment for India and South Asia, launches new Collection O Hotels

This is to assist users in OYO or partnership hotels alert the authorities in case of an emergency. This will enable the guests experiencing any emergency situation to not only receive the assistance of the on-ground hotel staff but also benefit from the specially trained 24×7 OYO Safety Response Team (SRT) and will also initiate a call to the local law enforcement authorities. This button activates on check-ins.
The first phase of the implementation was done in Gurugram and will soon make its way to the next 25 cities. The cities included in the first phase of the launch of OYO SOS button are Delhi-NCR, Lucknow, Mumbai, Meerut, Bangalore, Patna, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Raipur,  Kolkata, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Vizag, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Goa, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Jammu, Jamshedpur. OYO has always been committed to creating a safe, comfortable and convenient experience across its 8700+ properties across India. With the launch of the SOS button, it will enable guests especially women and solo travellers to fell more secure in India.
OYO also announces its $200 Million gameplan for India and South Asia and launches it new Collection O Brand. OYO said that the investment is directed to further expanding their plan, improving customer experience and ensuring asset owner success. They have released their next 5-year plan called Strategy 2023 to make a mark in the Indian market. They also launched their new mid-market brand, Collection O Hotels to their existing portfolio. OYO currently operates in over 10 countries and over 500 cities including over 259 cities in India.
