QULP: IDEAS MATTER

Today, most often that not, we are faced with creative and ground-breaking ideas that could turn into reality. But these ideas never come alone, the load of impediments ad barriers that come along almost always get you to a standstill. And there goes another idea that could probably take over the market by storm, into the drain.

GENESIS OF THE UNDERTAKING
These hurdles in fact got a few men to stumble upon ideas that could break this paradigm. Qulp, a new age collaborative product innovation platform, that introduce physical consumer products into the market, developed from the ideas shared by people just like you!

Their concept of Social Product Innovation was arrived after assessing the magnitude of this common yet hard-pressed issue. Realising the hidden potential of overlooked ideas, the team at Qulp has tried really hard to develop the best feasible solution that is simple, yet efficient. Major research was put into this to cover all facets that Qulp aims to now address.

THE BRAINS BEHIND THE VENTURE
The team at Qulp is quite the highlight. Undergraduate students from IIT Kharagpur, and two industrial designers from NID, Ahmedabad, off on a mission to give product innovation a new dimension.

• Vinay Degavath, founder, is a man with a vision. He plans to give the consumer product industry across the globe a new facet of product innovation, by letting the consumers conceptualise the products they truly want.
• Aarsh, co-founder, is an entrepreneur in the true sense of the word. He has a keen eye for detail and handles operations, business development and strategy.
• Aditya is the chief technology officer; he’s the geek of the team. With a strong background in robotics, he handles the backend part of their platform, as well the engineering aspect of the product development.
• Arjun and Karthik are the architects behind the products developed at Qulp. They hail from NID, Ahmedabad and are armed with a background in Product design.

THE MODUS OPERANDI OF QULP
Three broad steps where you Ideate, Co-Create and Validate after the initial sign-up, is how the process has been kept simple.

• Share your idea, mention the glitch that needs a problem-solving hand. You can propose the intended solution as well. This marks the first of several steps involved in making your idea  into a real product.
• Next, Through the unique collaborative innovation process, you are redirected to a co-creating workspace where the online community on Qulp’s platform gets to see and review the idea and further enhance it.
• Refined ideas are then evaluated by a team of analysts and in-house experts. Once selected, these guys undertake the uphill task of developing the idea into a physical product and subsequently making it available at a market place near you.

Upto 3 best designs are selected each month, which are developed into real products by their award-winning Product Design & Engineering team. Finished products are introduced into the market and the profits generated are shared with you and your online contributors. That’s not all, every product package bears your details as a concept provider.

THE ROAD AHEAD
There is no dearth of ideas in the world. All we lack, are people who pursue them with the much needed gusto. Qulp is trying to bridge this gap and get people to go ahead and dream   and not stop due to reasons such as insufficient resources, social constraints or failure.
