2 years ago Rituka MHyderabad-based AI startup NextSteps AI has been acqui-hired by Noida-based education technology (edtech) company Schoolnet India. In this acquisition, Schoolnet will acquire 15 employees from NextSteps AI.
Acquiring Talent Through An Acqui-Hire Deal
Leading Edtech startup Schoolnet India has acqui-hired AI Startup NextSteps AI Ltd on 11th February 2022. Acqui-hiring means an acquisition made that aims at acquiring the talent in the target company. As a part of this acquisition, Schoolnet will get 15 employees with niche skills. Schoolnet has about 300 employees and has not raised any funds yet.

NextSteps, since its launch in 2016 has been working with Schoolnet. Their joint skill exchange platform has evolved into Temasek-backed joint venture Good Workers in 2020.
