Hyderabad-based Supervek is one such company that has been replacing the mainstream products with their own aesthetic. A journey that began in 2015 with a vision to complement today’s lifestyle, has today become an established name in the Indian underground scene. Coining their name from the Sanskrit and Croation origins, Supervek symbolizes the ushering of a new era.
Street Fashion is all about standing out from the crowd, and Supervek creates products that exactly resonate with that. Choosing to create unconventional products in a conventional market like India, the founders of Supervek took a big chance. This made them stand out, and the Indian youth was ready for it! Supervek’s products allow individuals to embrace their inner personality and express who they really are. Fast fashion is bad for the environment as it runs on a massive scale and a lot of it discarded. On the other hand, Supervek is a vegan brand with PETA approval and the products are 100% recyclable.
Starting out as a bootstrapped project, Supervek launched the ‘Superwallet’. In an attempt to replace the bulky & harmful leather wallets, this Hyderabad start-up created these unique & creative designs. These allow the customers to stand out, and still be able to carry everything they need in a sleek manner. Supervek believes in creating a lasting impression on its users, and this shows from their unique shipping envelops & packaging. Initially launching the Superwallet, the company expanded to include Travel Wallets and Passport Holders, Superslim Wallets, and the Classic Superwallet.
A Supervek or Super’woke’ Product Range
Expanding their product range, Supervek now has a large range of products including bags, headwear, clothing, and accessories. Each design is unique and done in-house through artist collabs. Being in on the trends, Supervek has a range of reversible bucket hats, that are super in right now! Further, adapting to the Covid-19 scenario, they came out with their unique line of face masks. These masks are definitely a stand out piece and perhaps will make wearing masks more fun.
This Hyderabad-based company having expanded to Boston has amassed a wide following across the world. Speaking on their growth, the founder says;“Over the years, we have actively been a part of the community as sponsors, participants and organizer of several events. These include Skateboarding, BMX and B-Boying competitions, X Sports Tours, College Festivals, Music Festivals and Comic Conventions.”
Adding, they said; “During the Pandemic, we were the first e-commerce brand in India to launch the buy one, donate one initiative. Through this, we have pledged and donated thousands of masks to front-line works and hospitals, NGOs and other beneficiaries.”
