An interesting perspective of TEDx

TEDx – Building a community of Thinkers, Enablers, and Doers with x representing – one idea at a time was coined as the vision of TEDxHyderabad in 2015. This was widely used as an interesting perspective on other TEDx events as well.

Social Media Connect

TEDxHyderabad is a community of 79000+ virtual members on its official Facebook page. Interesting to know that TEDxHyderabad team met on Facebook with a simple post by asking interested individuals to join hands to be a part of the organizing team.

Building responsible Communities

For TEDxHyderabad, it is not about a single main event every year. It is all about continuous community engagement all through the year and most importantly steady community growth and activities to bring successful role models and doers. Our events are cherished experiences for many with the flavor of salon events that add to the learnings. Five meaningful initiatives have been the output of these salon events

Celebrating everyone both on and off stage

As important as the speaker on stage is, our attendees are equally important. We value all our attendees and know that each one of them has the capability of impacting society positively, in their own manner. We look out for future speakers and volunteers from our attendee pool as well.

Diversity is the Key

We have members from different walks of the society like students, corporate employees, doctors, and engineers. We believe in the philosophy of “Lead by Example” and in having a professional work environment and ethics. The team has set their expectations clearly on a mutual agreement at the grassroots level. The team members benefit from the different experience and perspective of everyone. Aligning the vision of the entire team is at the heart of what we do. Last year close to 600+ volunteer applicants applied and shortlisted a few for a final interview.

Forging new bonds

The well-curated audience in TEDxHyderabad event has formed lifelong associations and collaborations in the success of each other. The attendees are not just some familiar faces at events, but also good like-minded individuals coming together to learn and experience new technologies with embedded human values.

Building our Venue

The interesting stage of TEDxHyderabad 2016 was built from a flat ground, inspired by TED stage at Vancouver, which is built every year. The highly complex exercise was completed in 48 hours with an amazing seating arrangement for 1500 attendees.  The time lapse video was showcased at TED Fest 2017.

TEDx in a Bus!

TEDxHyderabad salon events “bus” – a moving bus, full of curated attendees and thought leaders were recognized at the TED Summit in Banff as one of the most innovative and interesting salon events globally. The bus moved from one place to another in the city to tour the real –time scenarios with curated TED Talks in between the sessions. (Article Link Embedded)

TEDxHyderabad firmly believes in a meaningful impact that matters to the community. The team also explores the opportunities to maximize community building and strengthening the community engagement with a strong network. This is reflected in the passion in which the team pursues each of the social endeavors

Curation process for TEDxHyderabad is sacrosanct. It draws passionate people to us. The team follows curation of its team members, speakers, and audiences. It is the lifeline of TEDxHyderabad and has helped connect with some amazing individuals in the city.
