Dovely, a women-only bike taxi service, a new standard for travel.

Dovely is a bike-taxi service built, driven, and for women. Started by a sister duo, this startup aims to create a safe commute service for women.

The everyday commute has become a regularity ever since the pandemic resided. This involves employees, women, and men traveling to their workplaces. This poses several issues for the safety and comfort of women and girls in the city.

Uzma Khatoon and Zainab Khatoon, the sister duo have come up with a first-of-its-kind and women-exclusive bike taxi service platform. Dovely, the women-only bike taxi service employs only female drivers. The idea given by their mother, the sister duo along with their father made a reality. And, Dovley was born.

“The whole idea behind initiating this project is to make the everyday commute safe, easy, and comfortable for women and girls in the city,” says Zainab Khatoon, Founder and CEO of Dovely.

Through Dovely, the founders aim to increase female employment rates in India in this sector. Additionally, making commuting cost-efficient and safer for women in Hyderabad. Currently, Dovely allows female users to safely book rides with female riders. Moreover, Dovely personally selects and onboards female partners for safe and convenient rides. Operating through its website and Whatsapp, it will soon launch an app for the same.

Currently, this service is available only from the old city to Mehdiptanam. And, the company intends to soon expand to the Bahadurpura area. Began as a bootstrapped company, it is now supported by the idea stage start-up incubator Edventure park. Further, the Hyderabad-based startup aims to expand its business and pitch its idea to other investors.
