Ever since the invasion of the Nizams in the royal city of Hyderabad, the place became synonymous to the sumptuous and tantalizing flavours of Mughlai cuisine. The most distinctive yet heart-melting biryanis garnered popularity gradually and thence, became the staple for local people. The biryani culture is deeply ingrained in the Hyderabad society and has several gourmet variations to it now. Well, thanks to the Modern Indians who prefer all things luxe and exclusive. But, no matter how you like your Biryani, the tradition holds to cook it for hours in a huge handi so as to infuse the flavours and serve each and everyone with a wholesome portion.
The Mughal Emperors were fond of chicest culinary experiences. They indulged in royal gastronomy and looked upon cooking as an art. Succulent pieces of meat wrapped in perfect spice coating with kewra scented rice exuded an irresistible and mouth-watering aroma that could ensnare anyone. The royal set up of gorging on biryani has been longstanding tradition which has successfully passed its trails to the generations.
Imitating the idea and reciprocating our version to this, The Culinary Lounge will recently be holding an interactive “Handi Talks” encompassing food entrepreneurs, food-techies, chef, researchers and pathbreakers in the industry. The inspiration of Handi is deep-rooted in the Great Hyderabad Biryani and just like the most delightful dish offering a good appetite to everyone, Handi Talks aims at imparting its message and knowledge to the community with our irresistible ideas.
The Culinary Lounge aims to disrupt the industry by providing the much-needed fun and experimental kitchen spaces for laymen and professional chefs. The idea is to innovate, evolve and reimagine the art of cooking. Having said that, Handi Talks will further push the thoughtful dialogue reawakening by conducting some holistic discussions on the current food trends, journey of gastronomy, latest technological advances in the food sector, organic food growth hacking etc. to enlighten each other with thought-provoking ideas.
A one-of-kind community building and networking event, Handi Talks will ideally feature two keynote speakers who shall be sharing their insights on the pre-decided topics followed by an interactive panel discussion. The chef guest will be a part of the event who shall be treating the key note stakeholders with some lip-smacking snacks.
As the Culinary Lounge will be turning 1 on the 28th July’18, we aim at heading towards a progressive road to change, transformation and an evolution for the love of food.
