“Childhood memories are the sweetest memories of all” was encashed by the brilliant couple Ravi Kabra and Anuja Kabra, the founders of skippi from Hyderabad, who grabbed an All shark deal of 1 crore rupees! Ravi, who worked in a food and beverage company for 16 years, has fled to Australia to expand his dad’s business. Later on, he and his wife invested in the idea of Skippi, India’s one and only ice-pops company made up of hundred percent natural colors, natural preservatives, natural taste, and natural sweetness. Skippi has six fruit flavors that include lemon, raspberry, and orange. As they said, this might not be healthy food but is a refreshing and relaxing one for customers of any age group.
The primary specialty of this product is that it will be made in natural liquid form at room temperature rather than frozen form. Skippi’s ice-pops are sold to retailers, suppliers, and customers in liquid form, which can be frozen whenever required. The couple has even aimed to be a brand ambassador for the Indian IPL team to target the market.
In the coming four years, they want to make Skippi a national brand and then concentrate on making it famous worldwide.
Skippi’s Manufacturing unit was built with an investment of 55 lakh in which they generated 40 lakhs revenue in the past six months and a total of 7.5 lakhs during last month respectively.
Additionally, Ravi states that they are Unique at this business as the soft ice for ice pops was made using a unique technology they have patented. The founders of Skippi were pitching their product for an investment of 45 lakhs at 5 percent equity. However, the idea of cherishing childhood with the same taste and refreshing mind was loved by all the five Sharks immensely that all five of them individually gave their deals at beginning and then after a lot of offers and counteroffers, for the first time in Shark Tank all the five: Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Ashneer Grover, Vineetha Singh, and Namita Thapar together closed the deal for one crore at 15 percent equity with lots of happiness and excitement. The super couple has already achieved acceptance and encouragement from the Sharks, so now it’s our turn to wish them the Best of luck for their next steps.
